Beyond the Masses

It’s all we ever hear, the cry of the masses
Their all screaming the same thing
They try and tell you who you are
But they have no identity

What determines your value, is it who, is it how many
Is it what they say
They’ll yell it loud and yell it proud
Maybe a lie, but you’ll live it

Everyone and everything is screaming give yourself away
You’re only a body
You have no heart no soul
While they drown in the shallow

Now there’s pain untold
They couldn’t explain
They just said “play the game”
You were blind to see it vain

I’m dispensing truth but I’m only a whisper
But what if Truth isn’t in the crowds
And beyond the masses, as you weave
You find Him because you want Him

You want Truth, freedom, love
You’re asked to give but then you’re robbed
Love doesn’t steal or kill
Love heals

Truth is a Person and so is Love
Jesus heals, frees, and saves
Tune out the noise
And listen to His whispering voice

You are valued and you are someone
You can break free from these illusions
But will you quiet the machine
To sit still and hear Him

Never alone, never thrown away
He's with you for power, purpose, and change
He’ll transform, He’ll make new
Choose to work with Him, He’ll see you through
